Il Mugello, una impervia barriera montuosa dove la montagna toscana si contrappone a quella emiliana. E' la terra che ha dato gli albori ad una delle più blasonate famiglie del Rinascimento: i Medici, artefici del periodo di maggior splendore di questa landa in orbita fiorentina.
Tante sono le storie che potrebbero narrare le antiche mura che ancora compongono il tessuto urbano di questi piccoli centri come Scarperia, Borgo San Lorenzo, Dicomano e Vicchio ( il paese dove venne alla luce Giotto). Storie antiche di lotte feudali e di fatti d'arme più vicini ai nostri anni: la conca mugellana è stata infatti teatro degli scontri tra tedeschi ed alleati nell'ultimo conflitto mondiale; siamo insomma nel cuore della Linea Gotica.
The Mugello, an imperport mountain barrier where the Tuscan mountain is opposed to the Emilian one. It is the land that has given the dawn to one of the most famous families of the Renaissance: the doctors, artificials of the most splendor period of this Landa in Florentine orbit. Many are the stories that could narrate the ancient walls that still make up the urban fabric of these small centers such as Scarperia, Borgo San Lorenzo, Dicomano and Vicchio (the town where it came to the Giotto light). Ancient stories of feudal struggles and of arms of arms closest to our years: the Conca Mugella was in fact the theater of the clashes between Germans and Allies in the last global conflict; In short, we are in the heart of the Gothic line.
