Start war in Wernigerode. Eine für Anfänger geeignete Tour mit mäßigen Steigungen. Es gibt genügend Steckenabschnitte zum entspannen. Zuerst in Richtung Hasserode am besten die Lüttgenfeldstraße hinauf und dann in die Pfälzergasse bis zum Beginn der Himmelpforte. Diese geht es dann hinauf bis zu den ehemaligen Klosteranlagen. An der Wegkreuzung hält man sich links in Richtung Schweg. Oberhalb der Kuhbornwiesen kann man einen kleinen Abstecher zum Lutherstein machen. Das Bike sollte man an der Schutzhütte abstellen. Am Schweg geht die Fahrt über den Pieperhang hinauf bis zum Kastanienplatz und weiter bist kurz vor der Mönchsbuche. Dort geht der Pahnberghangweg in Richtung Darlingerode ab. Kurz vor Darlingerode kann man dann wieder Richtung Himmelpforte radeln. Von dort sind es bis ins Zentrum nur noch einige Meter. Natürlich für Hobbyfotografen genügend Motive.
