Der Gampenpass ist die Verbindung zwischen dem Etschtal und dem Nonstal. Und da geht es heute hin. Ich rolle die gut 20 km bis nach Lana. Und dann ist sie auch schon vorbei, die Rollerei. Ab Lana geht es aufwärts. Ständig sonnenbeschienen. Lange Zeit befindet sich ein paar Zentimeter rechts von meinem Lenker eine Felswand, links schießen an mir Autos, LKWs und Motorräder vorbei. 1300 Höhenmeter am Stück geht das so dahin. Da ist so manches Päuschen notwendig. Oben angekommen am Gampenpass suche ich mir erst mal ein schattiges Plätzchen unter einem Baum und lasse mir die Frühstückssemmel aus meinem Rucksack schmecken. Der heutige Tag wird nicht mehr viel Abwechslung bringen. Es geht auf Asphalt weiter. Oberhalb des Val di Non fahre ich auf der Hauptstraße Richtung Fondo. Spinnt jetzt mein Fahrradcomputer oder bin ich es? Am Anstieg zwischen dem Örtchen Fondo und Belvedere zeigt mein Tacho 41° Celsius an. Schatten gibt es hier keinen. Am Mendelpass angekommen überfalle ich als erstes einen kleinen Tante Emma Laden der Getränke im Angebot hat. Meine Beute ist eine Plastiktüte mit drei 1,5 Liter Flaschen Eistee. Ich erreiche ich die Garni Petra am Mendelpass mit der Tüte am Lenker, so als ob ich grad vom Netto-Markt vom Einkaufen kommen würde.
