Tourendatum: 17.06.2011 Kartenmaterial: Costa Etrusca, Editioni Multigraphic Firenze, 1:25.000, 7,50 EUR Ausgangspunkt: Campingplatz Park Albatros.Man folgt dem Radweg entlang der Hauptstrasse SP23 Richtung Piombino bis dieser endet, biegt kurz darauf rechts in Sandstrasse ab, quert über Wiesenpfad nach links zu einer weiteren Sandstrasse hinüber, die man nach rechts verfolgt und gelangt zum meist geschlossenen Tor unterhalb der Villa del Barone De Stefano. Durch den Durchgang links neben dem Tor auf der Sandstr. ein kurzes Stück weiter bis links ein Fussweg entlang eines Zaunes in den Wald führt. Hier beginnt der wunderschön zu fahrende Trail z.T. durch Wald, z.T. über offenes Gelände, immer oberhalb der hier steil abfallenden Meeresküste. Zwischendurch gibt es immer wieder Möglichkeiten den schönen Ausblick aufs Meer zu genießen, oder auf Pfaden hinabzusteigen direkt zum Meer. Der Trail zieht hinüber bis zum Beginn des Badestrandes vom Golfo di Baratti, wo man über Wiesen und durch Pinienhaine auf die Strasse, die nach Baratti und rauf nach Populonia führt, trifft.Diese verfolgt man hinauf bis kurz vor Populonia, wo links eine Sandstrasse abzweigt, die durch den Wald hinaufführt zum M. Massoncello (286m). Dann weiter wieder runter mit zunehmender Aussicht aufs Meer Richtung Elba, rechts abzweigend einem rel. steilen Fahrweg hinab, bis man einem flachen Weg links Richtung Golfo die Salvioli weiterverfolgt. Von dort am besten der Strasse in Küstennähe weiter nach Piombino. Leider hatte ich wegen der fortgeschrittenen Tageszeit nicht mehr die Möglichkeit einer Ortsbesichtigung und musste sogleich auf dem schnellsten Weg über die Hauptstrassen (sehr verkehrsreich) zurück zum Ausgangspunkt. In einer weiteren Tour von mir ist hierzu eine Alternativroute abseits von den verkehrsreichen Strassen zwischen Baratti und Piombino beschrieben (Tour #84334). Die Tourenhighlights hier sind im traumhaften Barattitrail und dem Weg über den M.Massoncello, wo einem auch Wildschweine begegnen können, zu sehen. Tour Date: 17/06/2011 Maps: Costa Etrusca, Editioni Multigraphic Firenze, 1: 25,000, 7.50 EUR starting point: Camping Park Albatros.Man follows the bike path along the main road SP23 towards Piombino until it ends, turn right shortly afterwards in sand road from, crosses over meadow path to the left to another sand road over which one to & nbsp; right track and get to the mostly closed door below the Villa del Barone De Stefano. Through the passage left of the gate on the sandy beaches. a short distance to the left a footpath along a fence leads further into the forest. Here begins & nbsp; beautifully to-propelled partly Trail by forest, z.T. over open ground, always above the steeply sloping sea coast. In between, there are numerous opportunities to enjoy the beautiful view of the sea, or on paths descend directly to the sea. The Trail stretches over until the start of beach from the Golfo di Baratti, where you through meadows and pine groves on the road that leads to Baratti and up Populonia, trifft.Diese you follow up until shortly before Populonia, where a dirt road branches off to the left that leads through the forest to M. Massoncello (286m). Then go & nbsp; again down with increasing sea views towards Elba, right branching off & nbsp; any rel. steep road down until you a flat road left towards Golfo pursued the Salvioli. From there, most of the road near the coast continue to Piombino. Unfortunately I had because of the advanced time of day no longer the possibility of a site visit and had at once on the fastest way through the main streets (very busy) & nbsp; return to the starting point. In another Tour of me this is an alternative route off described from the busy streets and Baratti between Piombino (Tour # 84334). The Tour Highlights & nbsp; here & nbsp; are seen in the gorgeous Barattitrail and by way of the M.Massoncello, even where one can encounter wild boars.
