Wunderschöne Rundtour von Jena aus durch den Saale-Holzland-Kreis. Zunächst folgt man dem Saaleradweg bis nach Beutnitz, wo man dem Thüringer Mühlenradweg ins Gleistal folgt. Dieser Radweg folgt der ehemaligen Bahntrasse des Bürgeler "Esels", einer aufgelassenen Nebenstrecke der Saalebahn. Diese ist auf besonders zwischen Bürgel und Trotz geradezu dekadent gut ausgebaut (asphaltiert). Bei Thalbürgel verlässt der Mühlenradweg die Trasse des "Esels", während wir ihr bis Trotz folgen. In Trotz endet die Ausbaustrecke und der Radweg überquert die B7. Bei Erreichen von Hainspitz biegen wir nach rechts ins Holzland ab und unterqueren bald die Autobahn A9. Ein Anstieg bringt uns auf die Höhen um Bad Klosterlausnitz, die wir nach kurzer Strecke auf dem Thüringenweg hinter uns lassen. Es geht zurück ins Tal der Gleise bei Thalbürgel und weiter nach Schöngleina. Hier erklimmen wir geschwind die Flugplatzhöhe und radeln auf der Wölmisse per Steinkreuz zum Fuchsturm. Bis zum Steinkreuz hätte auch ein Tourenbike die Strecke leicht bewältigt. Wer die recht steile Abfahrt vom Fuchsturm scheut, kann am Steinkreuz ins Ziegenhainer Tal abbiegen und gemütlich zu Tal rollen. Alle anderen freuen sich auf die Fuchsturmabfahrt, die für die Mühen der Anstiege mehr als entschädigt. Bitte keine Wanderer umnieten!

Gorgeous round trip from Jena by the Saale-wood-country circuit. First, follow the cycle path to Beutnitz Saale, where you follow the Thuringian mill bike path to Gleistal. This route follows the old railway line of Bürgeler & quot; Ass & quot ;, an abandoned branch line of the Saale railway. This is a particularly between Biirgel and defiance downright decadent well developed (asphalted). In Thalbürgel the mill bike path leaves the route of the & quot; Ass & quot ;, while we follow it to spite. In spite of ending the extended road and the bike path crosses the B7. Upon reaching Hainspitz we turn right into the wood land and soon cross the A9 motorway. An increase brings us to the heights of Bad Klosterlausnitz we can after a short distance on the Thüringenweg behind us. It goes back to the valley of the tracks at Thalbürgel and on to Schöngleina. Here we climb quickly the aerodrome elevation and cycle on the Wölmisse by stone cross to Fox Tower. Until the stone cross and a touring bike would have the route easily overcome. Who shuns the very steep descent of the fox tower, can turn the stone cross into Ziegenhainer valley and cozy roll into the valley. All other looking forward to the Fuchsturm descent that more than makes up for the effort of the climbs. Please umnieten no travelers!
