Nichts für schwache Nerven.... ... stellte unser heutiges Monatgstraining dar. Wir haben uns vorgenommen an diesem Training überwiegend unbefestigte Untergründe und insbesondere mal wieder einige Downhills zu befahren. Letzte Woche stach uns dazu ein neuer Downhill im Bereich zwischen Hörnleskopf und Hanweiler ins Auge, der heute unbedingt gefahren werden musste. Jetzt ab zunächst von Anfang an.... Über Großheppach und Gundelsbach ging es im Einfahrtempo an den Waldrand zum Waiblinger Stadtwald. Der erste Bergauf-Trail war heute nicht nur am nassen Einstieg unangenehm, auch der restliche Trail war aufgrund seine schmalen Spur, dem steinigen Untergrund und den hereinragenden Brommbeerästen recht ruppig. Über einen unserer Standardwaldwege fuhren wir zum Kleinheppacher Kopf und ohne die Aussicht zu geniesen gleich weiter über ein steiles Bergabstück in einen Trail (ein, zwei kleine Tragestücke) am Waldrand entlang hinüber zum Hörnleskopf. Den Hörnleskopf links liegen gelassen, suchte wir den Einstieg um neuen Downhill des Stadtwaldes (der Alte Downhill, ein Freeride-DH am Korber Kopf, wurde mittlerweile gesperrt. Dieser neue, echte Downhill, wird nun nach Aussage einiger Extremo´s von der Stadt als Erstaz geduldet und wurde bereits heftig ausgebaut). Bis an den Ortsrand von Hanweiler geht dieses in Abschnitten heftige Teil um knapp 50 Höhenmeter in die Tiefe. Für Anfänger besteht öfters Trage- bzw. Schiebepflicht, da die Unfallgefahr nicht von der Hand zu weisen ist. Über einen Singletrail und eine Schotterauffahrt geht es in Richtungkreuzeiche, zwischendurch fahren wir noch eine schöne Zusatzrunde über einen weichen Waldweg, an dessen Ende nochmal 10 Meter geschoben werden muss. Die Abfahrt von der Kreuzeich nach Gundelsbach kann überwiegend mit schönem Flow gefahren werden , die Rückfahrt nach Endersbach erfolgt auf Asphalt und kann zum Ausrollen genutzt werden. The descent from the cross-calibration after Gundelsbach may be predominantly driven with a nice flow, the return to Enders Bach takes place on asphalt and can be used for rolling.
