Das der Schurwald ideal für die schnelle Feierabendrunde mit dem Hardtail ist, ist ja bekannt. Aber er bietet auch knackige Anstiege und flowige, technisch fordernde Single-Trails fürs Fully. Die Tour ist im Uhrzeigersinn zu fahren und kann auch gut verkürzt oder verlängert werden, da sie diverse Waldwege kreuzt. Am Wochenende bitte Rücksicht auf Wanderer und Jogger nehmen und: bitte nicht die Wege bzw. Trails verlassen Die Runde ist für technisch versierte Fahrer durchgängig fahrbar, für Anfänger eher ungeeignet bzw. mit weniger Spaß . Korrekterweise wg. "2-Meter-Regel" ist eigentlich sowieso Absteigen und Schieben angesagt. Muss jeder selbst verantworten. Die Tour startet am Großparkplatz "Neue Kelter" in Fellbach. Danach geht es gleich hoch zum Kappelberg, erst auf Teer, dann gut geschottert und auf schönen Trails. Bei dem umgestürztem Baum kurze Schiebepassage danach geht es bis zur Mülldeponie. Hier aufpassen, denn es geht auf Schotterweg ein kurzes Stück bis zum Waypoint "Einstieg Trail 1" zurück, bis zum ersten Downhill auf super Trail mit technischen Leckerbissen. Am Ende des Trails auf geteerter Straße bis zum Einstieg "Esslinger Höhenweg" mit knackigen Anstiegen und bei schönem Wetter toller Aussicht. Kurz hinter dem Segelflugplatz auf die andere Strass wechseln und dem Trail neben der Strasse folgen, lockerer Wechsel von Trail, Waldweg sowie Aufstieg und Downhill auf flowigen Trails. Nach Überquerung der Steinbrücke am Stettener Bach kurz berab bevor es kurz vor der Schranke nach links auf den Radweg und wieder bergauf (Richtung Jägerhaus) geht. Danach beginnt der Rückweg bis zum Grillplatz auf dem Kappelberg. Der Einstieg zum Downhill ist etwas schwer zu finden (Bild), danach geht es weiter.Unterhalb am Lokal Panorama (mit schönem Biergarten) vorbei und nach ca. 200 m dann die letzte Entscheidung: Entweder links auf der Strasse durch die Weinberge oder die hier beschriebene Variante: Rechts über ein paar nette Treppen Richtung Parkplatz!
