Die Stecke ist im ersten Teil gut mit einem Treckingrad zu bewältigen, auf den letzten Kilometern wird jedorch ein Singletrail verwendet, der ein wenig Erfahrung und ein Mountainbike notwendig macht. Fahrer mit Treckingrädern sollten die Alternativroute nehmen, die als eine weitere Tour durch den Ostsolling gespeichert ist. Die Route beginnt am Ferienhaus am Solling. Zunächst fährt man den Klärchensruhweg hinauf und passiert das schöne alte Fachwerkhaus am Waldesrand. Der Weg führt weiter immer am Bach entlang, bis man bei Kilometer 4 nach links vom Bach wegfährt. Bei der nächsten T-Gabelung hält man sich wieder links und trifft bei Kilometer 5,9 auf eine Schutzhhütte. Nach Karte könnte man den Singletrail geradeaus nehmen, der ist jedoch in letzter Zeit durch Rückearbeiten zerstört worden. Also folgen wir links dem Waldweg und auf das Grünesiektal, das wir weiter bergauf fahren. Bei Kilometer 7,9 nehmen wir die Gabelung links und haben dann nach 800 m die schlimmste Steigung geschafft. Wir folgen dem Waldweg weiter und kreuzen die geteerte Verbindungsstraße von Silberborn nach Sievershausen. Es geht weiter auf dem Waldweg und bei Kilometer 13,3 treffen wir auf die geteerte Verbindungsstraße von Silberborn nach Uslar. Leider müssen wir jetzt ca. 800 m die geteerte Straße nehmen (so gut wie kein Verkehr) und dann an der L549 rechts herum weitere 1,3 km auf der Landesstraße fahren (etwas mehr Verkehr). In der scharfen Rechtskurve bei Kilometer 15,4 nehmen wir den Waldweg und fahren nach 300 m in den Singletrail nach rechts. Dieser trifft nach 500 m auf einen Waldweg. Es geht jetzt über mehrere Kilometer bergab, bis wir bei Kilometer 21,5 auf einen Waldweg treffen. Dort geht es geradeaus in einen Singletrail. Nach 300 m geht es steil bergab, wir folgen dann aber nicht dem Waldweg sondern fahren links in den nächsten Singletrail durch einen Buchenwald. Diesem folgen wir immer weiter, bei Kilometer 22,7 muß man aufpassen, den Trail nach rechts zu nehmen (dabei auf den alten Sandgrenzstein achten). Es geht über einen hervorrgenden Singletrail durch Buchen und Fichtenwälder immer weiter bergab, bis der Trail bei Kilometer 24,3 auf einen Waldweg trifft, den wir nach links nehmen. Ganz Mutige können hier auch noch geradeaus über die Himmelsleiter fahren. Unsere Tour führt vorbei am Grillplatz und Schützenhaus zurück nach Dassel.

In the sharp right turn at km 15.4 we take the forest road and drive to 300 m in the single trail to the right. This is true after 500 m on a forest path. It now goes downhill for several miles until we meet at kilometer 21.5 on a forest path. There it goes straight into a single trail. After 300 m there is a steep downhill, but we do not follow the forest road but turn left into the next single trail through a forest. We follow this more and more, at kilometer 22.7 must be careful to take the trail to the right (making sure that the old sand landmark). It's a hervorrgenden single trail through beech and spruce forests continues downhill until the trail meets at kilometer 24.3 on a forest path, we take to the left. Very brave can take the stairway to heaven here too straight. Our tour takes back the barbecue area and clubhouse after Dassel.
