Eine Einsteigerstrecke am Ostrand des Sollings, die teilweise dem Solling Mountainbikecup und er Mountainbike Funpark in Merxhausen folgt. Für Geübte gibt es die alternative Tour mit der ganzen Downhillstrecke sowie der Burgruine Hunnesrück. Wir starten am Ferienhaus am Solling und fahren zunächst zum Schützenhaus. Dort biegen wir links in den Wald auf einen gut angelegten Waldweg vorbei am Grillplatz. Bei Kilometer 3,4 gibt es links das Schild zur Himmelsleiter, wir fahren aber rechs in einen schmallen Singletrail. Der Weg folgt hier dem Mountainbikecup des Sollinglaufes, der jedes Jahr im Mai stattfindet (nur andersrum). Der Singletrail ist steil und meistens feucht und trotzdem ein Traum für Mountainbiker. Nach gut einem Kilometer erreicht man einen kaum erkennbaren Rückeweg, an dem man sich links hält und der dann wieder in den Singletrail übergeht. Bei Kilometer 4,8 kreuzt man einen Forstweg und fährt weiter geradeaus eine breite Allee mit schmalen Singletrail in der Mitte. Nach 300 m biegt man rechts ab steil den Berg hinauf und folgt dem verwurzelten Singletrail, bis man eine Forststraße erreicht. Dieser folgt man rechts herum bis zum Kilometer 6,6. Hier geht es kaum erkennbar in den Mountainbike Funpark Merxhausen. Links liegen ein paar Baumstämme mit einem stark hervorstehend. Am Besten hat man allerdings ein GPS dabei. Der Weg geht nun über mehrere Rampen und Sprünge über einen verwurzelten Pfad bergab bis zu einer Forststraße. Man kann alle Rampen umfahren, ungeübte sollten nicht die Knochen riskieren. Am Forstweg fahren wir dann rechts hinunter und nicht nach wenigen Metern weiter dem Pfad des Funparks sondern den Feldweg bei Kilometer 7,2. Dort erreicht man durch die Ferienhaussiedlung Merxhausen. In Merxhausen geht es gleich hinauf zum Heukenberg wo man auf er anderen Seite auf die Straße von Mackensen nach Denkiehausen trifft. Wir biegen rechts herum nach Mackensen und biegen gleich am Anfang von Mackensen bei Kilometer 10,75 links ein und folgen dann einem Feldweg immer am Waldrand entlang zurück nach Dassel. Unterwegs kommt man bei der Ölmühle Mackensen vorbei und es bietet sich ein toller Blick durch das Tal auf Dassel und den dahinter liegenden Burgberg. Am Ende trifft man auf die Straße von Dassel zur Erichsburg und biegt rechts ab um gleich wieder links Richtung Schwimmbad zu fahren. Dort geht es über eine schmale Brücke zurück in die Innenstadt und zum Ferienhaus.

A beginner route on the eastern edge of the Solling, partly the Solling Mountainbikecup and he mountain bike terrain park & ??nbsp; follows in Merxhausen. For experienced hikers there is the alternative tour with all the downhill track and the ruins Hunnesrück. We start at the Cottage on the Solling and drive first to protect the house. Here turn left into the forest on a well-designed forest road past the barbecue. At kilometer 3.4, there is left the sign for stairway to heaven, but we drive Rech in Schmallenberg a single trail. The trail follows here the Mountainbikecup the Solling run, which takes place every year in May (only the other way around). The single trail is steep and often wet and still a dream for mountain bikers. After about one kilometer to reach a barely recognizable Rückeweg, where we turn left and then goes back into the single track. At kilometer 4.8 you cross a forest road and continue straight on a wide avenue with narrow single track in the middle. After 300 m turn right up the steep hill and follows the rooted single track, until you reach a forest road. Follow this road around to the right 6.6 km. This is hardly recognizable in the mountain bike terrain park Merxhausen. Links are a few tree trunks with a strongly protruding. The best way, however, it has a GPS. The way then proceeds several ramps and jumps over a rooted path downhill to a forest road. You can drive around all ramps, inexperienced should not risk the bone. At the forest we'll go right down and not after a few meters continue the path of the fun parks but the dirt road at km 7.2. There can be reached by the cottage area Merxhausen. In Merxhausen it goes right up to the Heukenberg where you will find he other side of the Strait of Mackensen after Denkiehausen. We turn right around after Mackensen and turn right at the beginning of Mackensen at kilometer 10.75 left and follow a dirt road always along the forest back to Dassel. On the way you will pass at the oil mill Mackensen and it offers a great view across the valley to Dassel and the underlying Castle Hill. At the end you meet the road from Dassel to Erichsburg and turn right to left again direction to go swimming. There it goes through a narrow bridge back in downtown and to the house.
