Die Tour startet am Parkplatz in Oberjettenberg. Kurz vor der Bundeswehrerprobungsstelle zweigt links ein Weg ab der an der Seilbahnstation vorbeiführt und rasch an Höhe gewinnt. Bis zur "Rastnockhütte" steigt der Weg steil an. Danach geht es leicht bergab, durch zwei unbeleuchtete, aber kurze Tunnels, dann ständig abwärts hoch über der "Aschauer Klamm". Bei der "Aschauer Klause" hat man das Niveau des Baches erreicht und kann einen Blick vom Steg bei der Klause in die hier harmlose Klamm hinein werfen. Spektakulärere Stellen gibt es abwärts der Klamm zu sehen. Unweit dieser Stelle verlassen wir die Forststraße nach rechts in einen kleinen Pfad übergehend. Kurz danach befindet man sich wieder auf der Forststraße, die nun bald den Scheitelpunkt "Aschau" erreicht. Von hier aus bietet sich ein herrlicher Ausblick auf die Loferer Steinberge. Am Innersbach entlang geht es nun immer abwärts, bei Reith erreicht man dann die Abzweigung zur Innersbachklamm (sehenswert). Vorbei am Gh "Drei Brüder" biegt man bei der Kapelle links ab und folgt der Beschilderung "Au". Beim "Auer Kircherl" lohnt ein Fotostop, bevor es weiter über ein steiles Waldstück bergauf Richtung "Scheffsnoth" und anschließend hinunter in den Ort geht. In Scheffsnoth nimmt man die Abzweigung nach Gumping und immer an der Saalach entlang nach "Strowolln". Hier geht es auf der Asphaltstraße aufwärts ins "Wildenthal", ignoriert die erste Abzweigung nach links (Ri Leimbichl), ebenso die zweite Abzweigung nach links (Ri Mitterhirschbichl und Eiblkapelle) und folgt der Forststraße nach rechts für drei steile Kehren. Dann biegt man links ab in die Möserwaldforststraße, die sich nach wenigen Metern mit der Forststraße vom "Gerhardstein" kommend verbindet. Nun folgt man immer geradeaus der steilen Straße vorbei an der "Möserwald Holzstube" zur "Eiblkreuzung". Ein Abstecher zur "Eiblkapelle" lohnt sich. Dann ist es nicht mehr weit bis zum Abzweig zur Litztlalm, die noch einmal mit einem Steilstück auf uns wartet. Im freien Almgelände angekommen ist die Alm (1334m) bald links zu erkennen. Eine erste Stärkung ist hier auf alle Fälle angebracht. Danach geht es die gleiche Strecke zurück bis zu der Stelle wo man von der Forststraße abgebogen ist. Nun geht es rechts weiter abwärts nach "Hirschbichl". Jetzt geht es links auf die Asphaltstraße die durch das eigentliche NP-Gebiet führt hinunter durch das Klausbachtal bis zum Hintersee. Am See vorbei geht es gleich wieder aufwärts und in der Nähe des "Fernsebner Lehens" in den "König Max Weg" hinein bis "Schwarzbachwacht". Links geht die Forststraße steil abwärts zu den "Schwarzbachalmen" immer am Schwarzbach entlang bis der Weg in die Alpenstraße (B305) einmündet. Nun geht es noch einige hundert Meter abwärts bis zum Ausgangspunkt, am Parkplatz Oberjettenberg (links von der Straße), zurück.
