Die Tour führt entlang der Gera von der erfurter Innenstadt bis zur Mündung in die Unstrut. Weiter geht es entlang der Unstrut flussaufwärts bis nach Mühlhausen. Teilweise führt sie antlang des Gera- bzw. Unstrut Radweges.
