Hallo zusammen, wir starten die Tour in Obergartzem über gut zu fahrende Feldwege Richtung Eicks - Düttling - Hergarten. Von hier aus geht es auf einem Waldweg Richtung Heimbach. Kurz vor Heimbach biegen wir links Richtung Abtei Maria Wald ab, hier kommt die erste gute Steigung. Wer will kann in Maria Wald die erste Rast einlegen. Ab Maria Wald gehts dann zum Kermeter. Wir fahren zum Teil Trails Straße und Feldwege. Wegen der schönen Aussichtsplattform machen wir noch einen kleinen Abstecher zur Hirschley. Lohnt sich allemal da Ihr von hier aus einen wunderbaren Ausblick auf den Rursee habt. Dann gehts zurück um unseren ersten anspruchsvollen Trail zu erreichen. Der Trail beginnt oberhalb von Rurberg und endet am Staubecken Obersee. Wir sind in einer Gruppe von 5 Mann gefahren und jeder ist heil unten angekommen. Auch wenn der eine oder andere schon mal absteigen musste. Ab Rurberg geht es dann zur Urftstaumauer, wo ebenfalls gerastet werden kann. Weiter geht es über die Urftstaumauer nach Burg Vogelsang, das härteste Stück der Tour. Nach einer kleinen Abfahrt, rechtzeitig runter Schalten kommt eine Steigung von 200-300 Meter mit ca. 20%, ist aber fahrbar. Die Wüstung Wollseifen, die wir nach einer gewissen Zeit erreichen, ist ein Überbleibsel aus der Besatzungszeit. Von Wollseifen gehts nach Burg Vogelsang mit einer schönen Abfahrt und einem kurzen kackigem Anstieg. Auf Burg Vogelsang gibts wieder die Möglichkeit zur Einkehr. Wer möchte kann hier ein wenig Technik üben, Treppenfahren ist hier besonders genial, da es hiervon genug gibt. Vom Eingangstor der Burg Vogelsang gehts über einen sehr schönen anspruchsvollen Trail Richtung Gemünd. Am Ausblickpunkt Kinkley vorbei gehts bis kurz vor Morsbach und dort links ab Richtung Malsbenden. Der Weg ist gut ausgeschildert. Ab Gemünd sind wir über einen kurzen gut fahrbaren SingleTrail zum Fahrradweg nach Mechernich gefahren. Hier ist auch eine Möglichkeit die DB zu nutzen. Ein kleines Schmankerl haben wir in Schaven noch mitgenommen, hier ist ein Trail von ca. 500m Länge der noch mal ein paar Prozent hat und noch mal reichlich Schweiss mit sich bringt, aber es lohnt sich. Unsere Tour endet in Obergartzem an unserem Anfangspunkt. Die Tour ist landschaftlich sehr Eindrucksvoll, man sollte gut trainiert sein und etwas Fahrtechnik besitzen. Hi, we start the tour in Obergartzem well-to-propelled way towards Eicks - Düttling - Hergarten. From here it goes on a forest path towards Heimbach. Then we headed back to reach our first challenging trail. The trail begins above Rurberg and ends at upper lake dam. We went in a group of 5 men and everyone arrived safely below. Even if the one or the other had to descend before. From Rurberg it goes to Urftstaumauer, where can also be locked. Continue through the Urftstaumauer to Burg Vogelsang, the hardest part of the tour. After a short descent, time shifting down a slope of 200 to 300 meters comes with approximately 20%, but is mobile. The deserted village Wollseifen that we reach after a certain time, is a relic of the occupation. From Wollseifen go to Burg Vogelsang with a nice descent and a short kackigem increase. On Vogelsang castle there again the possibility to stop. If you want to practice a little art here, step driving is particularly awesome, since there are enough thereof. From the entrance gate of the castle Vogelsang go through a very beautiful challenging trail towards Sarreguemines. At the lookout point over Kinkley go until shortly before Morsbach and left there direction Malsbenden. The route is well signposted. From Gemuend we went on a short well-wheeled single trail for cycling path to Mechernich. Here is also a possibility to use the DB. A little gem we have not taken into Schaven, here is a trail of about 500m length of time still has a few percent and again brings plenty of welding with it, but it's worth it. Our tour ends in Obergartzem to our starting point. The tour is scenically very impressive, you should be well trained and have some driving technique. I hope you enjoy the descendants want the tour.
