Die Tour kann irgendwo entlang der Route gestartet werden da sie ein Rundkurs ist. Wir haben in Aigen im Mühlkreis die Grenze mit dem Auto nach Tschechien überquert und haben dort bei der Fährstation am See unser Auto stehen lassen. Von dort gings seeaufwärts vorbei an teils verlassenen, teils wiederbesiedelten Häusern und Kolchosen in Richtung Nova Pec auf dem Radweg Nr 1033. Nova Pec ist der nördlichste Ort am See - dort überquert man auf einer Brücke den Seezufluß und fährt weiter auf der gegenüberliegenden Seeseite entlang auf dem Radweg Nr 33 den wir bis Lipno nicht mehr verlassen werden. Horni Plana liegt am Weg - der Geburtsort von Adalbert Stifter - heute ein mehr oder wenig touristisierter Ort mit vielen Ramsch-Standeln an denen so gut wie alles feilgeboten wird. Sehenswert das Adalbert Stifter Geburtshaus. Bei Horni Plana gehts nach einer Weile ins Hinterland - bergauf - bergab durch schöne südböhmische Wald und Wiesenlandschaft. Bei Frymburk erreichen wir endlich wieder den See und fahren weiter nach Lipno. Der Ort nach dem der Stausee benannt ist! Ein schöner Ferienort mit vielen Freizeitaktivitäten. Nach Lipno überqueren wir die Staumauer und auf der "österreichischen" Seite des Sees gehts wieder retour zum Ausgangspunkt. Wie die Tourendaten schon zu erkennen geben - es sind ca 90 KM, großteils auf mehr oder weniger gutem Asphalt - man sollte sich nicht mit zu groben Stollen ans Werk machen bzw für diese Tour ev ein City-Bike wählen. Wer das nicht hat wird auch mit seinem MTB eine schöne Fahrt erleben. Einkehrmöglichkeiten entlang der Strecke zur genüge - die meisten auf der österreich abgewandten Seite des Sees.
