This marks the start of my Epic Journey around Spain. Sadly it is mainly on road as I could find no off-road route north over the Sierra De Malaga. However the ascent from Zubia is off road and rather steep. By the way the stats on this are rather distorted as it shows my average speed as 3.8 mph. But not all of the 8 hours was travel time. My satnav showed 4.5 hrs travel time so average speed was somewhat higher - not much though as the ascents were hard. The road I chose was very quiet and the views were great. Andalucia is very green at this time of the year.
Don't try the ascent out of Zubia with a 30kg trailer, like I did.
