Diese höhenmeterreiche Runde führt vom Grenzdorf Brenner hinauf zu den berühmten Grenzkammstraßen, die Mussolini zur Befestigung der neuen österreichisch-italienischen Grenze unmittelbar unter dem Alpenhauptkamm hat anlegen lassen. Hier bietet sich oberhalb der Baumgrenze eine tolle Aussicht insbesondere auf das Eisacktal, stellenweise ist aber auch eine Überschreitung des Kamms möglich, wo ein paralleler Wanderweg auf österreichischer Seite ein wenig Trailgefühl vermittelt. Los geht's zunächst bequem auf dem brandneuen Radweg, der nun durchgehend von Brenner nach Verona asphaltiert und beschildert ist. Der Radweg verläuft ab dem Ortsrand Brenner anfangs straßennah, führt dann aber weg auf die alte Bahntrasse, wo recht nette Ausblicke zur Autobahn locken. Irgendwann ist es dann vorbei mit dem Abrollen, und es geht steil in Kehren hinauf. Gut 1000 Höhenmeter sind nun abzustrampeln, anfangs auf Asphalt, bald dann auf breitem Schotterweg. Der Schotter ist zwar teils etwas grob, aber immer in sehr moderater Steigung und daher gut zu bewältigen. Außerdem wird die Aussicht immer besser. Viele zwischensteigungsreiche Kilometer geht's dann am Grenzkamm entlang, teils auch auf Trails, bis oberhalb des Dorfes Brenner, wo die italienischen Kammstraßen naturgemäß enden müssen. Eine steile Abfahrt auf gut ausgewaschenen Pisten führt dann wieder hinunter an den neuen Radweg - nur noch ein paar Pedalumdrehungen fehlen jetzt bis zum Ausgangspunkt.

This height meter large round leads from the border village burner up to the famous border ridge roads that Mussolini had it designed to secure the new Austro-Italian border just below the main Alpine ridge. Here, above the tree line a great view especially on the Isarco Valley, in places, but also exceeded the comb is possible, where a parallel trail presents on the Austrian side a little trail feeling. Go easy on the first brand new bike path that is now fully paved and signposted from Brenner to Verona. The bike path runs from the outskirts burner straßennah initially, but then takes off on the old railway line, where pretty nice views lure to the motorway. Eventually, it will be over with the rolling, and there is a steep up in turns. Good 1000 meters are now abzustrampeln, initially on asphalt, then soon on a wide dirt road. The gravel is indeed partly a little rough, but always in very moderate slope and therefore to cope well. In addition, the prospect is getting better. Many gradient between rich kilometers it's off at the border ridge, partly on trails, up above the village burner, where the Italian ridge roads must end naturally. A steep descent on well-washed slopes leads then down again to the new bike path - only a few pedal revolutions are now missing from the starting point.
