Start und Ziel: Camping municipal "La Sapinette" 21, avenue Delpech 11500 Quillan Vom Campingplatz in die Stadt. Im Touristenbüro erhält man eine Karte mit Vorschlägen für Radtouren und Wanderungen. Die Fahrt von Quillan bis Espéraza führt auf einer ruhigen Seitenstraße am Ufer des Flusses Aude entlang. Nach einem kurzen Stück auf der D118 geht es bergauf bis Rennes le Château mit weitem Rundumblick bis zu den schneebedeckten Gipfeln der Pyrenäen. Das Dorf wurde bekannt durch die Bestseller "Der Heilige Gral und seine Erben" sowie "Sakrileg" u.a. Auf der asphaltierten Straße gelangt man hinunter nach Couiza. Von dort führt die Route wieder am Aude entlang nach Quillan.

The drive from Quillan to Espéraza leads on a quiet side street on the banks of the River Aude along. After a short stretch on the D118 is uphill to Rennes le Château with wide panoramic views to the snow-capped peaks of the Pyrenees. The village was known by the Bestsellers " Holy Grail and his heirs " and " Sacrilege " et al On the paved road down you come to Couiza. From there the route leads back along the Aude Quillan.
