AVVERTENZA
In questo periodo il percorso ciclabile è interrotto nei pressi di Ansedonia (wp D1 e D2) per importanti lavori che intersssano la vicina sede ferroviaria;
avete due possibilità: 1) percorrere circa 4 Km di SS Aurelia tra Orbetello Scalo (wp C) e Ansedonia (scelta sconsigliata)
2) aspettare la fine dei lavori (prevista entro fine Luglio).
DESCRIZIONE
Arrivando con il camper nel tardo pomeriggio ci può anche stare un breve giro, tutto in piano, che però vi farà conoscere una zona naturalistica di grande pregio: la laguna est di Orbetello e la vasta pineta della Feniglia: zona protetta ed ambientamente integra che si estende tra mare e laguna per ben 6 Km con una larghezza media di 600 m.Oltre alla tipica fauna di laguna (inclusi numerosi aironi cinerini) potrete incontrare caprioli e scoiattoli che dimorano numerosi nella pineta.
Partiti dalla Feniglia in dir. di Orbetello, apprezzerete subito la ciclabile lungo laguna (non fate caso al segnale di divieto: riguarda i veicoli a motore) che vi porta, in 5 minuti, al bivio di Terrarossa, quindi svolta a dx per Orbetello. Eventuale visita alla graziosa cittadina e poi ancora su ciclabile ben segnalata, fino alla fine del tombolo, poco a sud dell'Aurelia. Se i lavori di cui in AVVERTENZA, sono finiti trovate ora una stradina a traffico limitato (quasi una ciclabile) che rasenta la ferrovia, fino ad Ansedonia. Qui trovate l'ingresso (nord/est) all'oasi natiralistica della Feniglia.
Ora spiego il motivo della strana traccia che compare nel GPS; ho saputo che ci sono tre strade "quasi parallele" con caratteristiche diverse: la principale (larga ed a fondo compatto), frequentata da "ciclisti balneari", lato mare, una seconda strada, lato laguna, più stretta, con alcuni tratti sabbiosi e poco frequentata ed infine una terza intermedia, nel fitto bosco, con tratti sabbiosi difficili, dove è più facile incontrare animali che persone.
Nel dubbio.... le ho percorse tutte tre, descrivendo quello strano "S"; comunque non c'è alcuna difficoltà a farne una sola, a scelta, anche perchè sono collegate trasversalmente da numerose piste; se ad esempio, arrivati nel wp F, proseguite, arriverete alla Casa Forestale e di qui a dx, in breve, all'uscita sud-ovest della zona protetta della Feniglia.
Provenendo da nord, si lambisce Grossetto e ci si innesta sulla SS n° 1 Aurelia in dir. sud, mentre da Roma-Civitavecchia, la si risale in dir. nord. Da nord, le indicazioni da seguire saranno: ARGENTARIO - Porto Santo Stefano e da sud: Orbetello - Porto Ercole.
Queste indicazioni portano a percorrere rispettivamente il Tombolo della Giannella o quello di Orbetello. Arrivati sulla Sp n° 2 di Monte Argentario, in entrambi i casi si svolta a sx per Porto Ercole. Si percorre la Sp2 fino al termine della laguna est, indi si svolta a sx per la Feniglia. Subito dopo l'incrocio si trovano due aree park (Da Ciro e Da Renzo) dove potete lasciare l'auto custoditra ed all'ombra per 3,5 €/ giorno (Da Ciro).
