Partendo da Borgosesia, si raggiunge su strada e sentieri Varallo Sesia, dove si sale a Civiasco e poi al passo della Colma (942 m.s.l.). 200 m dopo lo scollinamento si intraprende un sentiero che passando per il centro del paese di Arola porta sulla strada che congiunge Pella a Omegna. Dopo una sosta a S. Maurizio d'Opaglio seguendo parte dell'itinerario chiamato anello azzurro si arriva a Gozzano, proseguendo poi verso Borgomanero. Ultima salita del giro è la Traversagna, che attraversando Boca e Maggiora riporta in Valsesia
