La dorsale dell'Alto Vergante offre scorci paesaggistici molto belli.
Un sussegguirsi di saliscendi con poche rampe impegnative.
Salita da Ameno alla Cappella del Vago dove si seguono le indicazioni per Gignese.
Arrivati sulla strada per Gignese si gira a sinistra e dopo 500 mt si imbocca una ripidissima stradina (appena superata la chicane sulla strada Gignese-Armeno).
Qui occorre spingere sui pedali e non poco a causa di pendenze maggiori del 20-25% su fondo comunque sempre compatto e pedalabile.
Supertate le prime impegnative rampe, la strada si addolcisce e prosegue più fluente.
sino ad arrivare ad un cancello che va superato proseguento sulla jeeppabile fino ad un gruppo di baite che si superano proseguendo sul lato est del monte dei Falò.
Si arriva così ad un bivio dove occorre proseguire a destra seguendo la strada che presenta alcuni sali scendi e condurrà al nasco d'asfalto che ci porta in 4 km alla vetta.
Da qui si ridiscende (consiglio rifornimento d'acqua alla fontana sulla strada) verso lo stesso punto per abbandonare l'asfalto e ripercorrere la strada fatta in salita fino al bivio dove si ignora la deviazione a sinistra per l'ALPE FEY e si prosegue diritto verso Coiromonte.
dopo un primo tratto pianeggiante la strada scende decisa ma senza difficoltà fino all'abitato di Coiromonte.
Appena sbucati sulla strada principale, sulla destra, quasi ad inversione ad U si imbocca un tratturo che conduce dopo qualche km sino ad un cancello in legno, solitametne chiuso. passato il cancello (ricordarsi di chiuderlo) occorre scendere nel prato subito a sinistra, seguendo evidenti segno ARANCIO FLUO che ci porteranno ad un torrente dove occorre scavalcare una staccionata.
Guadato il torrente si segue l'unico sentierino sempre tracciato con simboli ARANCIO che dopo breve si trasforma in viottolo più largo, da qui una divertente discesa fino all'abitato di Armeno.
