Giro nato per impegnare una mattinata uggiosa e con nuvole basse per scoprire un sentiero fuori dai soliti itinerari della zona (tra l'altro molto belli).
Salita su asfalto e discesa interamente su sentiero (escluso l'attraversamento di Roveredo...)
La salita è parte di quella solita che i bikers fanno da Roveredo (GR) per salire al Gesero e da lì tuffarsi nelle splendide discese della zona. E' ben segnalata da appositi cartelli. Mi sono fermato appena sopra il villaggio Laura, poco dopo il tornante che abbraccia il nucleo di case e baite (alcune molto belle e curate). Salendo ancora un poco, si nota un sentiero che incrocia la strada (segni bianco rossi). Da lì, ormai avvolto in un fradicio nebbione, ho iniziato la discesa, inforcando l'invitante sentierino sulla sinistra della strada.
Si torna rapidamente su terreno divertente a Laura (qualche indecisione su dove attraversare i prati) per poi guadagnare rapidamente l'ingresso nel ripido bosco.
Qui una sgradita sorpresa: l'incuria è a livelli italici e ben poco traspare di cura svizzera dei monti, il sentiero è molto, troppo, sporco e costringe a procedere molto guardinghi, questo fatto ne aumenta la difficoltà di base, già alta. Se fosse pulito, secondo me, potrebbe diventare una discesa cult!
A scanso di equivoci: è una discesa difficile e il fondo (complice la stagione) la rende a tratti rischiosa, eppure presenta caratteristiche davvero interessanti: tratti scorrevoli si alternano a tornantini, alcuni facili, alcuni medi altri difficili ... nonostante sia spesso ripida, e a volte molto ripida, non è affatto breve. A volte sembra che la condizione del bosco migliori, ma si è presto smentiti da qualche albero abbattuto proprio sul sentiero e mai tagliato ... in compenso i segni bianco-rossi accompagnano fino al paese (alcuni non troppo evidenti). I tratti in cui mi ha appiedato non sono stati poi così tanti da sconsigliare il sentiero, alla fine mi sono divertito. In genere nella seconda parte le pendenze diventano dolci. Resta sconsigliato a chi ama la discesa "spensierata".
P.S. La discesa è' segnata sulle Swiss-SingleTrail map:come di media difficoltà ... a me è sembrata difficile, ma non so dire fino a che punto il fondo abbia influenzato il giudizio.
Autostrada per il San Bernardino, uscita Roveredo: procedere a destra e superato il semaforo attraversare il ponte a sinistra entrando nel paese. Di solito parcheggio prendendo subito a sinistra del ponte proseguendo fino a dopo il sottopasso della ferrovia. C'è anche un comodo parcheggio nella parte alta del paese, basta seguire le indicazioni per Laura e ci si passa in mezzo.

The climb is part of the usual one that the bikers are the Roveredo (GR) to climb to Gesero and from there to dive into the wonderful slopes of the area. And 'well-marked by warning signs. I stopped just above the village Laura, shortly after the hairpin that encompasses the core of houses and cabins (some very nice and treated). Going up a little, there is a path that crosses the road (white red signs). From there, now wrapped in a wet fog, I began the descent, forking the inviting path on the left of the road.
Is back on the ground quickly fun to Laura (some indecision on where to cross the meadows) and then quickly gain entry into the steep forest.
Here an unwelcome surprise: the neglect is at levels Italic and very little transpires care of the Swiss mountains, the trail is much too dirty and forces you to do very wary, this fact increases the difficulty of the base, already high. If it were clean, in my opinion, could become a cult downhill!
The avoidance of doubt it is a difficult descent and the bottom (thanks to the season) makes it at times risky, yet has very interesting features: Whether sliding alternate with hairpins, some easy, some medium other difficult ... despite being often steep, and sometimes very steep, is not short. Sometimes it seems that the condition of the wood better, but it was soon proved wrong by some downed tree right on the path and never cut ... on the other hand the white-red signs to accompany the country (some not too obvious). I learned that I had dismounted were not so many as to prohibit the track, in the end I enjoyed it. In general, in the second part the slopes become sweet. Remember not recommended to those who love downhill "carefree".
PS The descent is' marked on the Swiss-SingleTrail map: as of medium difficulty ... to me it seemed difficult, but I do not know the extent to which the fund has influenced the judgment.
Highway to San Bernardino, exit Roveredo: Proceed to the right and past the traffic lights to cross the bridge to the left upon entering the country. Usually taking parking immediately to the left of the bridge and continue until after the railway underpass. There is also a convenient parking in the upper part of town, just follow the signs for Laura and you pass in the middle.
