Partenza dalla stazione dei treni di Lugano. Per la modica somma di 11 franchi potete comprare un biglietto di sola andata con bici per Rivera, dove parte la funivia del Monte Tamaro.

Da qui si può salire comodamente in funivia per la modica somma di 20 franchi o risparmiarseli pedalando in salita. Dall'Alpe di Foppa, dove arriva la funivia, la strada sterrata si fa più ripida ed impegnativa per circa 350 metri di dislivello che vi portano alla Capanna Tamaro UTOE, dove normalmente si può godere di un bel panorama - noi eravamo avvolti dalle nubi.
Da qui inizia il tratto su sentiero, prima in piano con diversi brevi pezzi a spinta fino a poco sotto la cima del Monte Tamaro, poi in una discesa esaltante (segnalata per le bici, basta seguire i cartelli) che transita per l'Alpe di Pozzo, La Bassa e sbuca sulla sterrata - poi asfaltata - che arriva ad Arosio. Il primo tratto è roccioso e con qualche tornantino ostico, poi il sentiero si sviluppa in un bel bosco e diventa molto ma molto fluido.
Da Arosio di Sotto si imbocca una sterrata che diventa un sentiero spaziale, pulito da alcuni locals e che presenta paraboliche, salti (aggirabili) e drop (aggirabili anche questi).
Si sbuca nel fondovalle vicino all'autostrada e si torna alla stazione di Lugano.
NB: Non c'è bisogno di prendere il treno da Lugano, si possono tranquillamente pedalare i 18 km che la separano da Rivera.

From here you can climb comfortably in the cable car for the modest sum of 20 francs or risparmiarseli pedaling uphill. From Alpe Foppa, where the cable car arrives, the dirt road becomes steeper and challenging for about 350 meters in altitude that will lead to the Capanna Tamaro UTOE, where normally you can enjoy a beautiful view - we were surrounded by clouds.
From here begins the stretch of trail, in the first floor with several short pieces to push up to just below the summit of Monte Tamaro, then an exhilarating descent (marked for bikes, just follow the signs) that passes to the Alpe di Pozzo, Lower and comes out on the dirt - and then paved - that comes to Arosio. The first part is rocky and difficult with some hairpin, then the path is developed in a beautiful forest and becomes very, very fluid.
From to Arosio Below we take a dirt road that becomes a path space, clean some locals and presenting dishes, jumps (bypassed) and drop (also circumvented these).
It comes out in the valley close to the highway and returns to the station of Lugano.
NB: No need to take the train from Lugano, you can safely ride the 18 km that separate it from Rivera.
