Thunder Mountain is one of the most scenic trails around. It passed through a stunning fantasy land of red rock hoodoos that take on all kinds of shapes. the ride starts with a gradual climb on a paved bike path before turning off onto a dirt road that takes you to the trailhead proper. the singletrack wends its way in and out of numerous drainages before dropping steeply down in to and through the hoodoo section. The ride finishes with a fun run back through the trees to the trailhead
Go in the spring or fall and take plenty of water. Don't forget your camera
