Dalla frazione di Santa Maria si raggiunge su bitume in discesa il bivio di S.Emidio dove a sx si prende in direzione Agore. Arrivati quasi allo sbocco del Fosso di Piandelloro prendiamo a dx e saliamo su vecchie mulattiere alla Piana della Forchetta passando in sequenza da Vallefusella, Forcella e dal panoramico Colle Fosti. Superata la piccola chiesetta sconsacrata, oggi gestita dal Corpo Forestale dello Stato, riprendiamo la bracciata che risale andando ad incrociare quella che proviene da Ponte d’Arli. Superiamo Sala ed al bivio successivo giriamo a sx per proseguire fino a Piandelloro. Entrati in paese ci si avventura per il bel sentiero a mezza costa che porta al borgo fantasma di Rocchetta. E’ il sentiero n.401 il quale, compiendo dapprima dei particolari passaggi su arenaria scoperta, svalica in prossimità del Colle dell’Icona per poi scendere a Rocchetta. Il viaggio continua su via ordinaria per la frazione di Agore dalla quale sarebbe un peccato non transitare sul noto sentiero n.402 per Poggio Rocchetta. Successimamente si arriva a Tallacano, lo si supera di un paio di tornanti per proseguire a dx sempre sul sentiero 402 che stavolta varca i castagni del Carpineto fino a Cocoscia. Iniziamo a scendere in single track verso Santa Maria ma giunti alle Case Vallesaggia svoltiamo a dx compiendo un taglio a mezza costa fino alla sella del Pizzo (da non confondere con il più famoso Pizzo dell’Arco situato circa 400 m più in alto sopra le nostre teste). Attraversata la Valle Vico si scende alle porte di San Vito ma prima di compiere la risalita finale al paese si vira sulla sx in mezzo a dei campi coltivati. Mantenendosi rigorosamente sul lato sinistro del campo si riesce a scorgere l’imbocco di un piacevole sentiero che, dopo aver aggirato il Pizzo, scende verso il fiume offendo begli scorci panoramici sulla Valle del Tronto ed andando a ricongiungersi sul finale con la famigerata discesa di Cocoscia. Dopo pochi minuti di dura risalita eccoci ritornati al punto di partenza.

From the village of Santa Maria can be reached on bitumen down the junction of S.Emidio where you take a left towards Agore. Arrived almost at the mouth of the Fosso di Piandelloro take a right and go up on old mule to the Plain of passing in sequence from Vallefusella Fork, Fork and the scenic Hill wast. After the small deconsecrated church, now run by the State Forestry Corps, we take the armful going to cross that dates back to the one that comes from Ponte d'Arli. Overcome Hall and at the next junction turn left to go up to Piandelloro. Enter town you venture to the beautiful path that leads to the hillside village of Rocchetta ghost. And 'the path 401 which, at first making of particular passages of sandstone discovery, svalica in the vicinity of the Hill Icon and then down to Rocchetta. The journey continues on ordinary about Agore from which it would be a shame not to pass on the known path 402 to Poggio Rocchetta. Successimamente you get to Tallacano, it exceeds by a couple of turns to continue on the right path always on time 402 that crosses the chestnut trees of up to Carpineto Cocoscia. We start off with single track towards Santa Maria Homes Vallesaggia but reached the turn to the right making a cut halfway up to the saddle of Pizzo (not to be confused with the more famous Arc Pizzo located about 400 m higher above our heads). Across the Valley Vico descend on the outskirts of San Vito but before you make the final ascent to the country turns on the left in the middle of the fields. Keeping strictly to the left side of the field you can see the entrance to a pleasant path, after passing the Lace, down to the river offend wonderful views over the valley of the Tronto and going to be reunited with the final descent of the infamous Cocoscia . After a few minutes of hard ascent here we are back to the starting point.
