Si parte da Mantova,imboccando l'argine sterrato del Mincio che in circa 17 Km. ci porta a Governolo,ove sbocca nel Po.Lungo il tragitto spesso s'impaluda formando splendide aree umide ricchissime di flora e fauna.A Governolo si dà un'occhiata, alla conca che permette ai natanti di entrare nel Po,ed al torrione gonzaghesco,di fianco al quale vi sono le antiche chiuse costruite già dai Gonzaga nel 1300.Ritornati sui propri passi,onde evitare 4-5 Km.sulla trafficata statale,ci si dirige,seguendo la traccia verso il paesino di Correggio Micheli,superato il quale si giunge al ponte sul Po.
Attenzione! Per imboccarlo occorre letteralmente arrampicarsi per qualche metro sul terrapieno(non è difficile).Passato il ponte si prende poco dopo a dx una tranquilla stradina asfaltata che in 4-5 Km.ci porta a S.Benedetto Po.Da visitare la basilica di S.Benedetto e l'abbazia di Polirone() e la chiesetta di S.Maria Valverde() che però non è compresa nella traccia.Si risale poi sull'argine e si giunge a Portiolo ove conviene dare un'occhiata allo splendido palazzo Gonzaga in vergognoso degrado().Giunti a Borgoforte ci resta l'ultimo tratto,il meno interessante,lungo una stradina poco trafficata che ci porta a Cerese, da dove imboccando una ciclabile torniamo a Mantova.
E' un percorso per chi ama, la natura(argine del Mincio),i monumenti(S. Benedetto Po,Portiolo) ed in generale i panorami"padani".

Leads us to Governolo, where flows into Po.Lungo the journey often becomes marshland forming beautiful wetlands rich in flora and fauna.A Governolo gives you a 'look, the basin that allows boats to enter the Po, and to keep Gonzaga, next to which there are the old locks built since the Gonzaga in 1300.Ritornati retrace their steps in order to avoid 4-5 Km.sulla busy state , head, following the track towards the village of Correggio Micheli, after which you come to the bridge on the Po.
Warning! To spoon-feed you must literally climb a few feet of the embankment (not hard) .Passato the bridge shortly after you take a quiet paved road on the right that leads to St. Benedict in 4-5 Km.ci Po.Da visit the basilica of S .Benedetto and the abbey of Polirone () and the church of S. Maria Valverde () which is not included in traccia.Si dates from the embankment and then when you reach Portiolo should take a look at the splendid palace at Gonzaga shameful degradation (). Joints Borgoforte there remains the last stretch, the least interesting, along a road with little traffic that leads us to Cerese, where taking a path back to Mantua.
'a path for those who love, nature (bank of the Mincio), monuments (S. Benedetto Po, Portiolo) and in general the views "Po".
